Mobile Advertisements

More and more advertisements can be seen on modes of transportation, such as bicycles, buses, trains and motor cars. Because these channels are mobile, visibility can be increased by simply traveling to a new location. These advertisements are not limited to painting pictures or writing text. They have also started to include models of containers or equipment to show passersby what the product looks like. This mode of advertising actually turns out to be more effective, as people stop to give a second look.
Perhaps the most interesting form of mobile advertising is what is known as a “human billboard”, a term given to a person who “wears” an advertisement. This could mean wearing or holding a sign, but the term can also be applied to a person wearing advertisements on his or her clothes. Like the other forms of mobile advertising, human advertisements too have the advantage of spreading the reach of their message by traveling to a new location.
Human advertisements can be made more interesting by through innovative use of clothing. T-shirts have historically been used to promote television channels or programs, movies, or even presidential candidates. Now, however, a trend can be seen towards clothing with “moving pictures”, rather than static images. This technique was introduced by a mobile network operator a few years ago, but has not yet caught on due to the technology and costs involved. Another interesting trend is advertisement using temporary tattoos which can be washed off after the purpose is served.
