One of the first forms of advertisement to be introduced, brochures are mostly single-sheet or booklet, used for promotional activities. Not bound to any particular type of business, they are used to advertise anything from locations, events, products to services. They have a very specific strategy: eye-catching layouts and focused language. They are mainly distributed through direct mail and events, though there are many other ways adopted by business in accordance with their requirements. By and large, brochures use good quality paper and are rarely black-and-white. They aim to grab attention and usually cost good money, but higher quantities set it off and the impression is made at the same time.
